The initiative of achieving Green Garden City by 2020 continues as UMLand’s Seri Alam Properties Sdn Bhd (SAP) planted another 1000 trees with joining hands from the town community in several different places.
As part of the ‘Hutan Kita’ continuation last year, 30 Eugenia and Bucida trees were planted at Bandar Seri Alam Gravity Green, 200 trees in Vista Seri Alam, 200 more in Seri Alam Police District Headquarters, while the major remaining were rooted in MRSM Johor Bahru.
Present at the event was Pasir Gudang Member of Parliament, Dato’ Normala Abdul Samad who said that it is a good cause to ‘replenish’ back greens in the township and suggested to allocate an area for gardens and landscaping purposes.
“I am happy that SAP has agreed to provide the trees as this will give our students the opportunity to appreciate and take care of the trees in line with our school Green project,” said Principal of MRSM Johor Bahru, Zabidin Bedut.
Executive Director of SAP Freddie Lee said that the developer has created their own nursery with 25,000 trees to-date as part of an important elements of their township.
