A total of 490 units of two-storey cluster terrace homes under the Rumah Mampu Milik Johor (RMMJ) initiative will be delivered to its new owners in December 2017 by S P Setia Berhad at Setia Business Park 2.
The balloting and keys’ handover ceremony was graced by Johor Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin and Chairman of S P Setia, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr. Wan Mohd Zahid Mohd Noordin for 236 units of Sri Senja and 254 units of Sri Embun which were priced between RM150,000 to RM209,000.
“This joint initiative by S P Setia together with the State Government is an excellent example to other developers to step up and do the same. The State Government is also targeting to deliver 5490 housing units under RMMJ by end of this year,” said Khaled at the press conference.
Out of the 5490 units, Khaled continued that there will be 621 units from Perumahan Komuniti Johor A and 1444 units from Perumahan Komuniti Johor B with 3425 homes to be completed under RMMJ.
In a separate news, Khaled said that the State Government aims to achieve providing homes totaling 60,000 units by the year 2020 and will be taking stern actions such as freezing development operations if developers fail to deliver the houses within given time frame.
