Back again with another month of their signature themed weekend buffet, Café Bld at Renaissance Hotel Johor Bahru is serving Peranakan and Nyonya dishes this March.
Peranakan or Nyonya cuisine comes from the Peranakans; descendants of early Chinese migrants who settled in Penang, Melaka, Singapore and Indonesia after inter-marrying with the local Malays combined with Chinese, Malay and other influences.
Signature Peranakan and Nyonya dishes that you can expect in this buffet spread are Udang Sambal Nenas, Sotong Tempra, Ikan Gerang Assam, Nyonya Chap Chai, Telur Dadar Cincalok, and more.
Some of the other dishes served to compliment the themed buffet are Naan bread or Chapati with Dhaal and Chicken Masala, Grilled Lamb with Mint Sauce, Pastas, Sushis, Cheese spreads, as well as fresh seafood and salads.
The live cooking stations will be serving numerous food items such as satay, grilled lamb, grilled seafood and more.
Specially prepared Nyonya desserts such as Onde-onde and Cendol are served at the dessert station and if you want to try a different version of cendol, grab a slice of the cendol jelly. Other desserts galore are also being served ranging from jellies to pudding, to the sweet stuff being prepared right in front of your eyes!
Fill your plates with the scrumptious Peranakan and Nyonya cuisines as well as other local delicacies for only RM123.00 nett per person.
Happening this March too is the Good Friday buffet also at RM123.00 nett. This buffet serves exclusively vegan dishes for those who are observing Good Friday.
Until again, we’ll keep you on your toes on what’s next to be served on the monthly themed buffets at Renaissance Johor Bahru Hotel exclusively from The Iskandarian.
