“The implementation of this campaign is important to provide awareness and knowledge to the public, especially victims themselves, regarding the channels that can be sought for protection against domestic violence”, said Minister of Women, Family and Community Development Dato’ Sri Rohani Abdul Karim who officiated the launch that was held at Persada Johor.

She also hoped that more victims will step forward and utilise this campaign as an avenue to seek protection.

The campaign which was part of an event called Tribute to Women was in line with the Domestic Violence (Amendment) Act 2017 that was recently passed in the Parliament.

Nor Fadhilah Nizar, the President of JEIWA advised all women to stand in unity, work together and support each other’s growth in order to keep moving forward.

The Johor Menteri Besar office also contributed a total of RM 10,000 to the campaign.
