Mortarboards flew in the air as the first cohort of 20 students from University of Reading Malaysia (UoRM) graduated at its campus in EduCity, Iskandar Puteri.
The inaugural graduation ceremony saw the cohorts who began their undergraduate programme in Finance and Business Management at Henley Business School Malaysia and 9 Malaysian students completing postgraduate degrees at the University of Reading in United Kingdom.
Ooi Dai Jing was presented with EduCity Award for Outstanding Achievement with best overall results while Chief Executive of Iskandar Regional Development Authority, Datuk Ismail Ibrahim was awarded an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Laws.
“Even though I have been abroad for a year, it was the best year I ever had because I learned a lot especially through the trading simulation sessions that were compelling and it gave me valuable exposure to financial markets. Currently, I am assisting to manage my father’s business at Seri Omega Private and International School,” said Dai Jing when interviewed.
Yonvindar Kanezin who completed the Finance and Business Management programme is now a Proprietary Trader at Kenanga Investment Bank Berhad and said that he has greater and deeper understanding of both areas in finance and business which he can confidently speak about along the growth of his career.
