Back by popular demand, Wan Li Restaurant at Renaissance Johor Bahru Hotel is serving Poon Choy, a hand crafted Cantonese Style Fortune Abalone and Dried Seafood Treasure Pot.
This popular family dish is not part of the Chinese New Year Set Menu. However it is a favourite among families as it’s considered a complete all-in-one family dish with a plethora of ingredients all in one pot.
On 15th February 2018, there will be two sessions for the Chinese New Year reunion dinner. Session 1 at 5.30pm to 7.30pm and session 2 at 8.00pm to 10.00pm.
Guests have a choice of two sets that can be chosen from which are Set A that costs RM1,888.00 nett per table of 10 persons or RM1,188.00 nett pere table of 6 persons, and set B at RM2,388.00 nett per table of 10 persons or RM1,588.00 nett per table of 6 persons.
Wan Li Chinese Set A comprises of Prosperity Salmon Yee Sang with organic vegetables, fresh fruits and jelly fish, Double-boiled village chicken soup with cordyceps flower, Steamed hundred days old organic chicken with Himalayan mountain salt and Steamed dragon tiger grouper with black fungus in superior soya sauce. Other dishes include Wok-fried prawns with superior mandarin sauce, Braised dried oysters with fish maw, mushrooms and vegetables, Steamed organic red rice with chicken mushroom diced wrapped with lotus leaf, Chilled yam cream with sago and Chinese sweet cake with fresh shredded coconut.
Toss your Yee Sang higher with Set B that includes a nine course meal of prosperity. The abundance of flavours start with the Auspicious Abalone and Salmon Yee Sang with organic vegetables, Double-boiled village chicken soup iwth American ginseng. Duo combination of steam hundred days old organic chicken with Himalayan mountain salt and traditional barbecue roasted duck and Hong Kong style steamed indigenous Pontian pomfret fish with superior soya sauce. The course is continued with Sea king prawns with Wan Li’s emperor signature sauce, Braised dried oysters with fish maw and sea cucumber, mushrooms and vegetables, Steamed organic rice with chicken mushroom diced wrapped with lotus leaf. For dessert, freshen the palate with Chilled mango puree and pomelo as well as Chinese sweet cake with fresh shredded coconut.
Both sets are inclusive of one bottle of red or white house wine per table. Additional wine may be purchased at an exclusive price of RM128.00 nett per bottle.
