LOOKING AHEAD: The world is changing fast and keeping up takes foresight and planning. In Singapore, what is being done to ensure that we stay relevant when it comes to global competitiveness? What about making the everyday lives of our citizens smooth and liveable? And how are we being responsible stewards of our resources when it comes to waste management?
Small steps can be taken but in this series, we look at the mega projects that have been undertaken to address those questions. We look at the construction of Changi Airport Terminal 5 (T5) at Changi East and the Tuas mega port; the development of the Jurong Lake District; as well as the building of the Integrated Waste Management Facility (IWMF) and phase two of the Deep Tunnel Sewerage System (DTSS).
What are the challenges faced and the innovations underway? What can we expect when these projects are completed? All these and more will be featured in this exciting two-part series.
