The fast growing mobile marketplace Carousell, announced its partnership with Johor-Based young entrepreneur associations namely Indienomics and StartUp Johor to kickstart a new community engagement programme that’s set to help Johorians sell their stuff better online.
“Carousell is proud to partner with Indienomics and StartUp Johor to support Johorians by providing them with workshops and activities to grow their online presence,” said Lucas Ngoo, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Carousell.
He added that their mission to encourage and support Johor entrepreneurs align with the efforts and educational initiatives that Carousell is committed to support, and Carousell LIVE! Kilang Bateri in JB was the first of many activities planned out for Malaysia. The event featured 50 local vendors, workshops and talks that will help you sell your stuff better online.
“This partnership benefits both sellers using the Carousell platform and consumers looking to buy products and services. It will enable Indienomics’ entrepreneurs to expose and expand their businesses through Carousell LIVE! sessions and learn the basics of sales which gives both sellers and consumers a site that is user-friendly, trustworthy and supportive of the community,” said CEO of Indienomics, Johan Ropi.
The local entrepreneurial movement led by Johan regularly organises entrepreneur-based programmes such as INtalk and the Indienomics Business Challenge to inspire budding youths who are keen on becoming the next big thing.
