Cyclists can now enjoy a bigger “playground” in Medini as the new 22km cycling lane spread across North to South of Medini is officially open, providing viable alternative to vehicular transportation to residents living in the area.
Medini Iskandar Malaysia Sdn Bhd (MIM) hosted ‘Chill and Ride in Medini City’ and showcased Medini PublikArt project and soon-to-be-launched Edible Park and Heritage Forest that aims to provide a platform for community engagement in nurturing ideas on sustainable living and greener lifestyle.
“The Edible Park presents a lush urban park with local fruits, vegetables and salads, herbs, and medicinal trees while the Heritage Forest gathers the region’s flora for a proud and honest snapshot of Johor’s wilderness,” said Johor Green founder, Chris Parry during the event.
According to Chris, the four acres Edible Park which is attached to a plant-based café will be officially launched by August end and will open on weekends only for interested public to join in their programmes such as green and organic workshops, talks, tours, and more.
Meanwhile, cyclists can ride and stop at the several PublikArt spaces created by local talents that depict numerous artistic sculptures made of metal, flowers, bamboos, ceramic and etc that are named as ‘Jalan-Jalan’, ‘Sweet Telang’, ‘Tree of Life’, ‘Bu Hei’, ‘I Too Am Iskandar Puteri’, and ‘Blue Cube Kuda’ for unique photo moments.
