A specialist hospital will be developed and operating by the year 2020 at Jalan Tahana, Bandar Baru Uda which aims to provide free medical services for over 3000 asnaf under Johor Waqaf Fund (TWRJ).
The RM600 million project by Johor Islamic Cooperation (PIJ) and Kencana Healthcare Sdn Bhd (KHSB) is the first medical complex in the country to be built on a spread of 5.5 acres waqaf land under Johor Islamic Council.
“The complex comprises of 32 commercial units, a convention centre, and a four-star Muslim friendly hotel. Apart from that, it can cater up to 300 beds, 60 specialist clinics, 120 specialist facilities and rooms, and 650 parking lots,” said Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin during its groundbreaking ceremony.
Khaled continued that the hospital is also open for public to enjoy medical services at an affordable price compared to other private hospitals.
