In a pursuit to end education inequality in our nation, Teach for Malaysia (TFM) along with their corporate partner Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC) organised a soft skills workshop at PwC’s office in Menara Ansar Johor Bahru. Attended by 37 students from five high needs secondary school along with five accompanying fellows, the workshop was conducted by PwC’s own in-house talents.
Participants were exposed to the real life working situations and opportunities available in the market, and the students also had the chance to experience a professional workplace environment.
Also on that day, participants were exposed to ice breaking activities along with talks about setting goals, dreams and future. They also worked in groups and presented their ideas to their peers.
“It is good to impart knowledge and talk about goals and ambitions with kids this age as this will further prepare them for life in the future,” said Senior Executive Directors of PwC Johor Bahru, Manohar Johnson, adding that he even does school visits to deliver soft skills talks in conjunction with TFM.
