Relatable accounts of life in songs and subtleties
We have all experienced lost and wanting to be found; you have to get lost to be found. Theatrethreesixty presents their new musical theatre production LOST/FOUND with its Johor premiere at Sunway Iskandar Events Gallery, presented by StageCraft Theatre Productions.
The hour-long musical told four short stories of four individuals navigating their thoughts and feelings with the first story about the loss of a child, the loss of innocence, the loss of love, and a mother who lost the connection with her daughter. Each story cleverly seeped into the next story with the play of live music and dramatic stage lightings. All actors, talented, expressed the accurate emotions developing the narrative. Brilliant and captured the messaging in layers, like all artwork do.
Director of Theatrethreesixty, Christopher Ling, shared that this musical was a deconstruction and reinterpretation of musical director Nick Choo’s works, with the last story a brand-new original, a surprising twist, choreographed by Kenny Shim. Actors Gabriel Tham, Alia Kearney, Natalie Makulin and Tria Aziz, all sat down to deeply reflect on what being lost and being found meant to them before they began rehearsal in October 2019.
Animating everyday objects, sagacious play on words with a touch of humour, and wisdom imparted, Lost/Found is definitely not to be missed. Mature content; parental guidance is advised.
Watch them 6-8 December 2019 at 8 PM, and 8 December at 3 PM. Tickets are standard rate at RM75, available for walk-ins and at: https://www.cognitoforms.com/StageCraftTheatreProductions/LostFoundAMusicalByTheatrethreesixtyPG13
