Back with the latest and finest Japanese films for Malaysians to get engrossed with
The Japanese Film Festival (JFF) returns again for its 16th consequent screening at selected Golden Screen Cinemas nationwide, boasting a broad collection of current and acclaimed titles across a variety of genres ranging from family, music and comedy. The selection of 13 movies will capture the hearts and minds of audiences from all ages and giving the opportunity for everyone to enjoy the latest and finest Japanese movies on the big screen.
Japanese movie lovers in JB, may head to GSC in Paradign Mall from 19th – 22nd September 2019 to catch some great flicks picked for JFF 2019.
The Japan Foundation is a non-profit organisation established in 1972, with the purpose of promoting mutual cultural exchange between Japan and other countries. The Kuala Lumpur office was established in October 1989 also known as JFKL (Japanese Foundation Kuala Lumpur) and the primary objective of JFKL is to develop mutual understanding between people through culture and language within the region. The office also facilitates and supports the exchange of personnel and experts who work in the fields of Arts, Culture, Humanities and Social Sciences.
The month-long celebration kicked-off with the South East Asian premiere of Little Nights, Little Love directed by IMAIZUMI Rikiya in their KL Opening night on 3rd September 2019 (Official Japanese release date is set to be on 20th September 2019).
A special feature on musical movies would also be one of the highlights this year with Farewell Song, Little Love Song and La La La at Rock Bottom.
JFF 2019 is also a part of The Japan Foundation, Kuala Lumpur’s 30th Anniversary celebration here in Malaysia this year since its establishment back in 1989. All films are presented in Japanese with English subtitles.
