Another CSR effort by KPRJ uplifting children and education through arts and culture
Kumpulan Prasarana Rakyat Johor (KPRJ) together with Jabatan Agama Islam Negeri Johor (JAINJ) had jointly-organised a cultural festival for schools that are adopted under their wing as an extension of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) namely ‘Festival Sekolah Agama Angkat KPRJ-HOPE 2019’ (SAKJ Fest) at Dewan Besar Pusat Islam Iskandar Johor, Johor Bahru.

A total of 6 schools that came from Johor Bahru, Ulu Tiram, Masai and Muar had participated in the 3 categories of contest namely Kompang, nasyid performance and public speaking involving 156 students.
The festival also held an awarding ceremony for the schools under 6 categories; Zero absence, KAFA evaluation, Best Standard Six (SDEA), Special Standard Six (SDKA), Best KPRJ-HOPE 2019 school and Champion to all Festival Sekolah Agama Angkat KPRJ-HOPE 2019.
Officiated by Exco Haji Aminolhuda Bin Hj Hassan, Chairman of Johor Education, Human Resource, Science and Technology Committee, he has also announced an addition amount of RM1.6mil by the state government for 240 Johor KAFA teachers that initially were reported to be disqualified from getting the state’s allowance due to short period of teaching. Effective next year in 2020, a total number of 2,090 KAFA teachers would be getting the benefit of the allowance provided by the state government.
Aminolhuda congratulated KPRJ for its ongoing effort under the state government’s government-linked company (GLC) for their CSR in discovering and unearthing talent among children of the schools that they have adopted.
Also in attendance was KPRJ’s CEO, Haji Mohd Noorazam Haji Osman. He remarked that as the main contractor for public religion school development (SAKJ), KPRJ has taken a proactive step to continue giving the involved schools comfortable amenities and more.
