MB Launches RMMJ Laman Indah 2, an Eco World Initiative


Affordable housing with a touch of class for Johorians

Eco World Development Group Berhad had handed over keys to the proud new owners of Laman Indah 2, an affordable housing development under the Rumah Mampu Milik Johor (RMMJ) scheme in Tebrau, located directly opposite Eco World’s Eco Spring project.

Present for the ceremony was Johor Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Khaled Nordin, and Tan Sri Liew Keen Sin, Chairman of Eco World Malaysia who said the Group was proud and delighted to be a part of the state government’s initiative to provide affordable housing for the people of Johor.
“At Eco World, community building is an important aspect of our business and we strive to live up to our mission of being a caring, and responsible organisation which actively contributes back to society,” said Liew.

Laman Indah 2 consists of 146 units of double-storey terraced houses with 1070 sqft built up area that is priced at RM150,000. All units come with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Residents may also enjoy a range of amenities that have been planned for the Eco Spring Township which includes beautifully-landscaped parks as well as upcoming retail developments comprising a shopping mall and retail shops.

“We are extremely delighted to be able to handover the keys to the owners in the given time frame. Kudos to Eco World for being able to meet the deadline and for the support towards the RMMJ initiative! With developers all working together to achieve the objective, we are therefore able to commit to another 40,000 units of homes to the existing 60,000 units that have been announced last year,” said Khaled.

The event also saw the launch of Perumahan Komuniti Johor Jenis B and marked the opening of registration of interest for the public who qualify under the scheme. The development which will be completed in three years will consist of two apartment blocks with a total of 543 units, priced at RM80,000 and with a built up area of 850sqft.

Also present for the launch was State Housing Chief Datuk Haji Jais Sarday, State Secretary of Housing, Radzi Mohd Amin, Tebrau MP Datuk Khoo Soo Seang, ADUN for Tiram, Datuk Maulizan Bujang and President and CEO of Eco World Development Group, Dato Chang Khim Wah.
