Crown’s 7th management facility is ready to serve the Southern part of Malaysia and Singapore

Crown Worldwide Group, world’s largest private group of international relocation, logistics and related services companies, officially launched their new Crown Records Management facility in SiLC, Iskandar Puteri, Johor. Founder and Chairman of Crown Worldwide Group, James E. Thompson was present for the launching along with Ken Madrid, Group CEO of Crown Worldwide Group and Leon Hulme, Managing Director of Crown Worldwide Group Malaysia together with stakeholders from an extensive range of industries.

First landed in Malaysia in 1974, Crown Worldwide is one of the leading suppliers of records’ management services in the country, and today, the Crown Records Management business in Malaysia stores and manages business records including electronic files and media for over 1800 corporate customers in various sectors ranging from financial services, manufacturing to public sector and healthcare. The new facility adds to Crown Worldwide’s six facilities in Malaysia that is spread across Shah Alam, Enstek, Penang, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching and Johor. 2,600m2 of land has been covered to build the facility for its first phase and it could store approximately over 4 million cartons of customers’ documents.

The facility in Iskandar Puteri is a world-class records centre, with innovative features like thermal skin surrounding the building to protect the contents against heat and humidity naturally, natural airflow system inside the facility, keeping it cool without the need of potentially damaging air cooling machine, a radiant heat barrier roof, rain water harvesting tanks, 24-hour infrared motion detection camera surveillance and on-site security, all at the highest standards a data-storing facility could achieve. The architect of the facility, Eric Kang from Arkitek LLA Sdn Bhd is based in KL and has previously designed the facility in KL and Penang.
