Amari Johor Bahru Awarded GreenRE Certification

Amari Johor Bahru opened its doors on 15th May last year and it has already won 3 awards namely the Star Property My Awards 2017 for Best Quality and Finishing Development followed by the BCA (Building & Construction Authority) Green Mark Gold Award and now the GreenRE Silver Certification.

“It is indeed an honour to receive this certification among our other awards”, said Dean Rossilli, Area General Manager for Amari Johor Bahru.

GreenRE was set up in 2013 to promote sustainability in the property industry. It has developed one of the leading green rating tools in Malaysia, recognised by KeTTHA, MGTC, MIDA, IRDA and local authorities. GreenRE has a portfolio of projects covering more than 75 million square feet across Malaysia. They conduct assessment and certification for green buildings and townships in various states in Malaysia together with courses with the aim of sharing knowledge and information about best practices in high performance green buildings and townships with people in the building industry.

Being the first Amari in Malaysia, this 242-room five-star hotel is managed by ONYX Hospitality Group and owned by UMLand Bhd.

The brand Amari has a rich and long standing heritage. Located along Jalan Trus in the city centre, the hotel lobby on the 6th floor offers a warm and friendly welcome and serves as the first chapter of the Amari Johor Bahru guest experience. To complement a wide variety of rooms and suite configurations, the hotel also offers six unique Deluxe Pool Access rooms with private terraces, a first of any downtown Johor Bahru hotel. – by Priya Manikam Pic: Amari Johor Bahru Malaysia exterior
