Renaissance Johor Bahru Hotel brings joy to the elderly and the orphanage this Ramadan
In the spirit of Ramadan, Renaissance Johor Bahru Hotel treated 20 elderly from Pusat Jagaan Warga Emas Nur Ehsan together with 20 orphanages from Persatuan Kebajikan Berkat Johor Bahru (Berkat Children’s Home) to a delicious Bazaar Makan-Makan dinner buffet prepared by the Executive Chef in collaboration with TEG Media. (www.tegmedia.my).
“Being in the hospitality industry doesn’t restrict us to just being good hosts to our guests. We believe that sharing hospitality is as important and that we remember the less fortunate to remind us of the things we take for granted in life especially during this Ramadan season,” said Gagan Deep Singh, General Manager of Renaissance Johor Bahru Hotel.
Located in Kempas Baru, Pusat Jagaan Warga Emas Nur Ehsan is a shelter home that cares for the elderly. Founded in April 2007, Pusat Jagaan Warga Emas Nur Ehsan is currently home to about 100 residents. Meanwhile Berkat Children’s Home is a non-profit organisation, created to help the underprivileged children from all walks of life, race and religion.
As part of their ‘Spirit to Serve’ programme of CSR initiatives during Ramadan, the Iftar was organised to encourage solidarity among the hotel staff and management by sharing happiness with the elderly and the orphanage during special moments that comes with the breaking of the fast.
