Another CSR activity by TasekMaju Group

TasekMaju Group has to date participated actively as a socially responsible corporate citizen in the community and this time, they organised a free mammogram screening and health awareness through its newly incorporated non-profit organisation, Ang Tiong Loi Tasek Maju Charity Berhad (ATCB) which is responsible in handling the group’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities.

The event that started from 30th November 2018 until 2nd December 2018 received tremendous support from the public especially with regards to healthy lifestyle and health awareness issues.

Previously, the group’s CSR activities have been encompassing on donation of land for construction of underprivileged children’s home, school funding, contributing towards operational cost of children’s home in Johor Bahru as well as overseas relief fund raising.
This time, ATCB had worked closely with 2 beneficiaries namely the National Cancer Council or Majlis Kanser Nasional (MAKNA) and Breast Cancer Support Group Johor Bahru (BCSGJB) in providing free mammogram screening to 50 Malaysian citizen females aged 40 – 65 years old.

The initiative is part of the group’s CSR commitment towards healthy living. The group also aims to raise awareness among women through early detection in improving breast cancer survival rates.

Apart from the screening test, donation worth RM30,000 was contributed to MAKNA and RM5000 was given to BCSGJB. On top of that, the group also visited 2 cancer patients and handed each cash donations and hampers worth RM4,500.

This year marks the 10th year of BCSGJB since its establishment, while MAKNA will be celebrating their 25th anniversary in April. The endless support shown by both organisations has helped the community to understand better about breast cancer and played vital role in assisting the patients to win the battle.
