The Resort hosted children from the Berkat Children’s Home to a Christmas charity Hi-Tea and fun swimming session
With the joyous season of giving and sharing, Pulai Springs Resort hosted 18 underprivileged children and teenagers from the Berkat Children’s Home (Persatuan Kebajikan Berkat Johor Bahru) to a Christmas Charity Hi-Tea as well as a fun swimming session as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility programme.
Sunny Soo, the resort’s General Manager welcomed the children from the home together with the Management of Pulai Springs Resort as well as some committee members of the resort’s Sports and Welfare club. The children who are mainly orphans, from broken homes, abandoned and some who have tragically lost one or both parents aged between 6 and 15 from the home were accompanied by Reverend Davidson Saindran Lawrence, the home Director of Berkat Children’s Home, Johor Bahru.
“This Christmas hi-tea for the underprivileged children is part of Pulai Springs Resort’s corporate social responsibility programme and we wanted to bring joy and happiness to those in need during the festive season”, said Sunny Soo.
The children were then treated to a sumptuous Christmas buffet, all deliciously prepared by the resort’s culinary team. During the Hi-Tea, Santa Claus and Santarina also made their appearances and gave away candy to all the children present.
Each kid also received two goodie bags containing story books, stationeries, water bottle, sketch book and food items respectively donated by the hotel’s Sports & Welfare Club, the hotel and by a resident living at the Cinta Ayu @ Pulai Springs Resort.
The kids then took part in fun games and walked away with exciting prizes and were also given the opportunity to enjoy a 2-hour swimming session at the resort’s swimming pool located at the Clubhouse.
