Movement Control Order: Johor Hospital’s Arrangement during the COVID-19 MCO Period

The public is advised to refer to the new arrangement of hospitals during the MCO

Johor Health and Environment Committee chairman, R. Vidyanathan in his press release dated 26th March 2020 has announced that the Johor State Health Department has made Enche Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital Kluang as COVID-19 Hospital in Johor from 25th March 2020.

As a result of this, the public are advised to refer to any non-emergency cases at a clinic or hospital nearby. Services that are set to be reduced/postponed/transferred includes daily treatment (Thalassaemia) which will be transferred to a hospital nearby.

Other elective surgeries and the daily treatment procedures are currently postponed. Outpatient Department and Specialist Clinical Services are transferred to the former Nursing College Administrative Building, Kluang (next to the old Hospital Kluang) from 29th March 2020.

Clinical Operations after office hours are suspended. The hospital would not receive any new non-COVID-19 cases except for emergency childbirths.

Please take note that visitors are not allowed to visit COVID-19 patients that are treated at this hospital.

On 25th March 2020 the Federal Government decided to extend the duration of the Movement Control Order (MCO) up to 14th April 2020. The intention of this period extension is to enhance the efforts to curb the COVID-19 outbreak in the country.
