Current update on the COVID-19 situation in Johor by State Health and Environment chairman

Johor Health and Environment Committee chairman, R. Vidyanathan said the state government has agreed to cut the business hours of premises and it is to be advised by each local council accordingly.

The said action is taken after observing the current update of COVID-19 as of 22nd March 2020, where 1,306 cases were detected with the addition of 2 deaths totalling to 10 deaths to date. 1,157 active cases are now treated in Malaysia, and Johor has 145 cases with one (1) death on 17th March, 2020.

Vidyanathan in his press statement expresses his gratitude to the private sectors that has contributed to the Johor Disaster Fund (Tabung Bencana Johor) and to the responsive and alert health workers that are now the frontliners of the government fighting against COVID-19.
