Johor’s 18th Menteri Besar, Datuk Hasni Mohammad who has taken his oath on 28th February 2020 announced the new executive committee line-up with 10 members under the name ‘Makmur Johor’ (Prosperous Johor) after the swearing in ceremony at Istana Bukit Serene before the state ruler, His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar.

In his announcement, Semarang assemblyman, Datuk Samsolbari Jamali is made as the Agriculture, Agro-based and Rural Development committee chairman. Mazlan Bujang, Puteri Wangsa assemblyman would take the state Education, Information, Heritage and Culture portfolio. Kahang assemblyman, Vidyanathan Ramanadhan, is Health and Environment Committee chairman. Bukit Permai assemblyman, Haji Tosrin Jarvanthi would hold the Islamic Religious Affairs portfolio. Haji Ayub Jamil, Rengit assemblymen, is the committee chairman for Housing and Local Government. Solihan Badri, Tenang assemblymen, made the Works, Transportation and Infrastructure committee chairman.
The Women Development, Family and Community committee chairman is held by Zaiton Ismail, Sungai Balang assemblywoman. Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, Layang-Layang assemblyman is made the state Tourism, Youth and Sports committee chairman. Larkin assemblyman, Mohd Izhar Ahmad holds the portfolio for the state Investment, Entrepreneurs Development, Cooperatives and Human Resource. Pemanis assemblyman, Dr Chong Fat Full, made the state Unity, Trade and Consumers Affairs committee chairman.
As for the Menteri Besar himself, the Benut assemblyman is looking after the state Natural Resources, Administration, Finance, and Economic Planning and Development portfolios.
Hasni said in his remarks that as the new Menteri Besar of Johor, along with his Excos and state’s civil workers, they have to be reminded to continue working for Johor while adding the need to put a stop on politicking and ‘fighting’ among each other. Hasni also said Johor is in need to continue to be prosperous in economy and education while continuing to practise a translucent and just administration with a strong identity of Johor.
