About 60 staffs volunteered their time and effort in repainting the premises of the Johor Zoo
Kumpulan Prasarana Rakyat Johor Sdn Bhd (KPRJ) as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme known as KPRJ-HOPE Zooventure had recently undertaken to repaint the premises of the Johor Zoo.
KPRJ partnered with Nippon Paint in this venture with the latter sponsoring paints and related tools.
About 60 KPRJ staffs volunteered their time and effort to repaint the Johor Zoo. This is the first time KPRJ was involved in such a CSR activity to care and beautify the Zoo and its environment. The Johor Zoo was the chosen premises as it is one of the oldest Zoos in the nation built in 1928 housing more than 100 species of animals including endangered animals. Therefore, much care and attention was needed for its upkeep and appearances.
Haji Noorazam bin Dato’ Haji Osman said,” KPRJ through this Zooventure programme aims to give back to the society and wishes to continuously make an impact and contribute to the development of the people regardless of race and religion, and also to the surroundings and environment it operates in”.
As a responsible GLC, KPRJ through its various programmes have created caring corporate citizens who are concerned about the community and the environment.
