Two weeks of fun sports activities was held for shoppers
In a bid to promote health and fitness, KOMTAR JBCC organised a Health & Sports Fair for two weeks for its shoppers. This is the third year since it was organised back in 2016. There were two types of competition held for adults, which were the Downmall Challenge and Bunny Hop, whereas the Push Bike Challenge was held for the children.
The Downmall Challenge required participants to go through some obstacles and go down using the ramp at the fastest time, whereas the Bunny Hop category was open for BMX riders, requiring them to pass obstacles according to the set of height. The fun didn’t stop there as the children took part in the Push Bike Challenge which was divided into two categories; category A for children aged two to four years old while category B was for children aged five to seven years old.
KOMTAR JBCC had worked in collaboration with Johor Extreme Bike (JEB) and received around 100 participants from Johor Bahru, Kuala Lumpur and Melaka.
The winner of the Downmall Challenge was Muhammad Raudhatul Razman, and Idham Ahmad won the Bunny Hop event. Both winners received RM500 cash and medals.
Zarf Atheer emerged as the little champion in the Push Bike Challenge category A and Nur Qiesha Az Zharyd emerged as the winner for category B. Both winners received RM300 cash and medals. Runner-ups also received cash prizes and medals and 5 consolation winners received RM50 and medals as well.
KOMTAR JBCC management always encourages its shoppers to be active and healthy, and this event helped create awareness and engage shoppers to the mall.
