Ferry operations at Kukup international Ferry Terminal will resume on 6th November 2019
Closed since last September due to the termination of the past concessionaire to operate the terminal, Kukup International Ferry Terminal will be operational again on 6th November 2019.
Johor Menteri Besar, Datuk Dr. Sahruddin Jamal made this announcement during his visit to the area.
He said the terminal was supposed to reopen on 1st November, but was postponed to a few days later due to some technical issues faced by the ferry operators.
“We have to postpone the reopening to 6th November to allow the ferry operators to handle the process of transferring the ferries from Puteri Harbour as well as insurance matters,” he told reporters after visiting a fish farm near the terminal here today.
Also present was State Public Works, Transport and Infrastructure Committee chairman Mohd Solihan Badri.
The ferry operations earlier have been shifted to the Puteri Harbour International Ferry Terminal in Iskandar Puteri during time of closure.
