Seven couples had celebrated the 61st National Day at Columbia Asia Hospital – Iskandar Puteri with their little beautiful angels who were born on this special day.
First-time mother Nur Aisyah Zahid, 24, was expecting to deliver her very first baby on ‘Malaysia Day’; 16th September 2018 instead she gave birth to a healthy and beautiful baby girl on 31st August 2018 at 10.06pm. Her husband Shah Amirul Azlan who works in the retail industry in Singapore felt honoured because they will celebrate their daughter’s birthday on this historic day.
Meanwhile, Rosmawati Ismail gave birth to her 6th baby after midnight, just in time to celebrate the 61st National Day. Rosmawati who is a teacher went into the labour room at around 12.00am and after less than 1 hour of labour, she and husband Mohd Rozlan Idris who works as surveyors were blessed with a 3.44 kg baby boy.
Another couple from Pakistan, Shawana Jillani a housewife to Khasif Nisar who is studying in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Skudai had safely delivered a healthy 3.38 kg baby boy after about 5 hours in labour pain. She was admitted to Columbia Asia Hospital – Iskandar Puteri on the same day and delivered the baby at 5.51pm. They felt so grateful for the healthy baby and safe delivery. Within minutes of another, a pair of baby boy and girl was delivered naturally just 1 minute apart, which was 5.58 pm and 5.59pm, under the same doctor.
The delivery process for all the babies was smooth and there were no complications. All mothers and babies, 4 boys and 3 girls were healthy under the good hands of Dr. Rohaini Md Jonit, Consultant Obstetrician & Gynecologist and Dr. Azhar Napis, Consultant Pediatrician assisted by well-trained midwives and nurses.
All families received a gift pack from the hospital filled with heartwarming notes enclosed.
