Malaysian kiteboarding champion, Daniel Leow met up with members of the media at Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast to share his experiences about kiteboarding and details about the upcoming Desaru Coast Kiteboard Tour Asia (KTA) Asia-Pacific Hydrofoil Series from 14th to 16th December 2018.

Kiteboard Tour Asia – Asian Hydrofoil Series 2018 is open to anyone, anywhere, amateurs and pro riders alike. KTA is the first ever Asian Hydrofoil Surfing Tour Competition to be held in Malaysia.

“As a competitor, understanding the wind conditions is vital in kiteboarding. As a spectator, watching the kiteboarders jump up to 10 feet in the air can be quite exhilarating! At speeds of 15kmph to 50-70 kmph, kiteboard racing is quite a fast paced extreme sport with a growing following in the region,” said Daniel.
