Kuala Lumpur Sports City, Bukit Jalil (KLSC) will be the new flag-off point for ASICS relay run event on 29th September 2018
ASICS Relay Malaysia 2018 today announced a change in location for its upcoming 29th September run. Originally scheduled to flag-off from Dataran Merdeka in Jalan Raja, the venue has been revised to Kuala Lumpur Sports City, Bukit Jalil (KLSC).
The change in venue comes in-line with Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur’s (DBKL) new ruling of no major night events to be held in the KL city centre. KLSC, formerly known as Bukit Jalil National Sports Complex, was selected as the new venue for the run due to its feasible running route, safety aspect and reputation in being the most iconic and distinctive international sporting and entertainment centre in Asia.
“We are happy to be able to showcase the relay run concept in Malaysia once more this year and we are certain that the change in venue to KLSC will bring a breath of fresh of air as well as even more excitement to our relay run agenda,” said Boon Tib Som Nik, Country Manager, ASICS Malaysia.
Back for its third consecutive year, ASICS Relay Malaysia 2018 aims to attract 1,000 teams of 4 while providing every participant with a fulfilling night running experience. Registration for ASICS Relay Malaysia 2018 has been extended and interested participants can sign up at http://www.asicsrelayreg.com/2018- my/army18/reg_army18/ until the 14th September 2018.
