Maslee Express relocates their oldest outlet
Maslee Express Tampoi (Taman Kemas) has relocated their inaugural outlet to the new row of shops just a stone’s throw away from the old outlet to Jalan Cengkerik 1 at Pusat Perdagangan Kempas.
The old outlet has served the community for 24 years since 1995.
The opening of the new outlet was a much-anticipated move as the new location will be able to serve more customers as well as cater a wider range of products. Apart from the products, customers also get better access with ample parking available.
“The prices of the products will be the same as the previous outlet and the range of products will be more holistic. Our priority is to ensure that every shopper gets value for money products at an affordable price,” stressed General Manager Gan Hiong Huat.
Staying true to their ‘My Neighbour’ concept, Maslee has also signed up for the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPHNHEP) i-KeeP Programme. i-KeeP or Consumer Economic Shop Initiative ensures that outlets stay committed to offer a wide range of everyday necessities at economical and reasonable prices.
i-KeeP Strategic Partners play a role in distributing and marketing a wide range of consumer daily necessities based on ‘i-Keep’s recommended price’ which is the maximum price set for each item agreed by all Strategic Partners, civil servants and KPDNHEP. At this recommendation price, all i-KeeP Strategic Partners market all types of i-KeeP products at prices below or equal to the recommended price.
The main focus of goods sold at i-KeeP premises is the basic controlled goods such as sugar, cooking oil, wheat flour and rice. In addition, i-KeeP also offers over 100 other branded daily essentials in partnership with manufacturers and Strategic Partners such as canned foods, sweetened creamer, evaporated milk, sauces, soy sauce, food and beverages and cocoa malt powder.
“Maslee has committed six outlets to the i-KeeP programme, namely our new Tampoi oulet, Taman Dahlia Outlet and four of our Pasir Gudang outlets. Our participation in the programme that mainly targets the B40 is a clear message that we are truly a socially conscious grocer who walks the talk,” said Gan.
