Renaissance Johor Bahru Hotel Organised their annual ‘Run To Give’ charity run

Renaissance Johor Bahru Hotel, part of Marriott International, organised their annual ‘Run to Give’ charity run to raise funds for National Kidney Foundation Malaysia to purchase three dialysis machines.

The run gathered 200 Marriott International associates, affiliates and athletes at Ponderosa Golf & Country Resort.

“This is the third time we organised the charity run to immense response; with the support from our associates as well as the public, we are confident that Run to Give 2019 will accomplish more than we ever could alone,” said Gagan Singh, General Manager of Renaissance Johor Bahru Hotel.

200 hundred participants registered themselves for the run

The run was divided into 5km & 10km category and participants received a ‘Run to Give 2019’ t-shirt, a certificate and a medal.

Renaissance Johor Bahru Hotel will join other Marriott International hotels across 23 countries and territories concurrently in Asia Pacific for this fund-raising initiative.

Since the event inaugurated in 2014, ‘Run to Give’ has become an integral part of the company’s tradition in cultivating a people-first environment that promotes associate well-being and drives its people to care for the communities where they do business.

Last year, “Run to Give” took place in 109 locations across Asia Pacific, which involved more than 10,500 associates from 546 properties with nearly 36,700 runners participating, raising over US$400,000 supporting non-profit partners, selected local charities across Asia Pacific as well as contributed towards Marriott disaster relief efforts.
