Think you are way past of age to enjoy water? Johor’s first indoor pool in the mall will change your mind
D Swim Academy (DSA) has recently launched their establishment at the ground level of AEON Mall Bandar Dato’ Onn.
“The pool which is less than 1.2 metres of depth is decorated with colourful, floating buoys and the grand opening made it a lot merrier,” said Kuan, a passionate M&E Health Safety Assistant Manager.
All devices and floating mini polo goal post each holds their purposes and DSA’s students range as young as 6 months old to as senior as 70 years old, catering to their needs in approaching the water. Young learners learn as they play together with a water buddy; the swimming coach. Adults swimmers could join according to their needs, from designated interest like preparing for scuba diving or maybe to practise their joints for physical healing. Activities in the water are held no longer than 15 minutes with coaches always looking out for you.
Kuan told us that learning how to swim is one thing while securing safety in water is another thing that Malaysians often leave out. Part of what DSA is aiming would be to let it be known that learning basic water safety like CPR would be a handy life-saver.
“A lifeguard could do so much with hundreds of other people looking out at once and lessons offered here would help families to have safer holidays with family members knowing at least basics of water safety,” he added.
