The Breast Cancer Support Group of Johor Bahru walks for 3km to show support for breast cancer awareness
The Breast Cancer Support Group of Johor Bahru (BCSGJB) recently celebrated their 15th year anniversary. In conjunction with the celebration, BCSGJB organised a Pink Heroes Fun Walk to show support and promote awareness among the public in regards to breast cancer.

Plenty of programmes were planned out for the morning that included Zumba, Silly Walk with the Johor Bahru Happy and Joyous Club, Doodle Competition, various dances, and a Peranakan Cooking Demonstration.
There were also wellness activities such as fitness exercises and an exhibition on breast cancer and healthy lifestyles, free health check consultation by a dietitian and a doctor, and registration for mammogram and PAP smear by the Tunku Laksamana Cancer Foundation.
The Johor Bahru Member of Parliament, Akmal Nasir also attended the pink event to show his support for breast cancer awareness.
For the children or young at heart, there was also face painting and hair tinseling done by Sasha and Sofia Cole.
Speaking to Doris Boo, past president and a strong supporter of the BCSGJB, she mentioned, “We are pink heroes, whether a patient, a survivor or members of BCSG, we are a family and we must support one another.”
The BCSGJB is located at Taman Muhibbah Kebun Teh and the public are welcomed to show their support and contribute to the pink hero family.
