Paradigm Mall Johor Bahru to introduce Boba Festival after successful attempts in Paradigm Mall PJ and Gateway@KLIA2
The Boba craze has taken the nation by storm. Many Malaysians today are obsessed with the frothy milk tea with chewy tapioca balls coated in brown sugar. Now, following the success of similar campaigns in Paradigm Mall Petaling Jaya and gateway@klia2, Paradigm Mall Johor Bahru is introducing The Boba Festival Campaign from 18 November 2019 until 17 December 2019! All bubble tea enthusiasts are invited to participate in the festival that is guaranteed to give you the Boba fix you need.
Selena Chua, Chief Executive Officer of WCT Holdings Berhad, Mall Management said, “It is no secret that Malaysians love Boba Milk Tea drinks. The astounding number of shops popping up around the country confirms the love Malaysians have for this frothy milk tea drink.
Not only is it easy on the eyes, Boba is also refreshing to drink in any climate and condition. In fact, it has become a cultural phenomenon that has taken the region by storm. As Boba is a beverage favoured by Malaysians of all ages, we are thrilled to introduce The Boba Festival right here in Paradigm Mall Johor Bahru,” said Selena.
The festival is divided into two categories, which is, ‘Guess The Boba Tea Brand Challenge’ and ‘The Boba Bingo Challenge.’
Category A: Guess The Boba Tea Brand Challenge
Date: Saturday, 7 December
Participants for this category are required to register online prior to the event to secure a seat. Then, participants must guess all the brands of bubble tea according to the provided drinks. The participant who can guess all the drinks accurately will stand a chance to be crowned the winner. The winner of the competition will be able to visit the specific bubble tea outlets 4 times a month for 12 months, which equals to 48 free drinks of their choosing.
How to Participate
Step 1: The contestants are required to register prior to the contest date. Each session will accommodate
20 participants at maximum with 3 sessions available at 12:00pm, 2:00pm and 5:00pm. First come, first served basis.
Step 2: The contestants are required to taste six different cups of bubble tea from participating brands such as Gong Cha, Chatto, BlackBall Mini, Each A Cup, Shake Shake and Teadayz at the contest booth. Contestants have to try to guess the brands of all six cups of bubble tea correctly.
Category B: The Boba Bingo Challenge
Date: 18 November – 17 December 2019
Spend a total of RM50 and above in a single receipt in any store in Paradigm Mall Johor Bahru or any spending amount from the participating outlets to redeem a Boba Fest Passport. Shoppers are then required to complete the Boba Bingo card by purchasing drinks from the respective outlets at special discounted prices. Once complete, submit the full details at the concierge and you could be one of the 6 lucky winners who will walk away with 3 months’ supply of bubble tea averaging at 4 visits per month and a cash voucher of up to RM 200.
How to Participate
Step 1: Shoppers need to spend a total of RM50 and above in a single receipt in any shop throughout Paradigm Mall Johor Bahru. Shoppers may also spend any amount at participating outlets for a chance to enter.
Step 2: Get the Boba Fest Passport from the Concierge Counter at Level Ground in Paradigm Mall Johor Bahru, opposite Starbucks.
Step 3: Shoppers will then be eligible to redeem ONE stamp for every purchase of a special promotion drink, which is stated by each participating outlet. Please present the Boba Fest Passport in order to enjoy the special promotion during this campaign period from 18 November until 17 December 2019.
Step 4: Each stamp must be collected upon purchase at the participating outlet. All stamps will be affixed to the Passport.
Step 5: Submit the Boba Fest Passport upon collecting all the stamps at the Concierge Counter on the Level Ground at Paradigm Mall Johor Bahru.
The BOBA challenge is open to contestants of all nationalities who are aged 18 years and above at the time of participation and no participation fees are required. Contestants who are Malaysian citizens or permanent resident of Malaysia must hold a valid National Registration Identification Card (NRIC). Contestants who are not Malaysian citizens or permanent residents of Malaysia must hold a valid passport. All Contestants must produce their NRIC or passport upon registration for the BOBA Challenge for the purpose of verification and failure to produce the same will automatically disqualify/disentitle the Contestant(s) from participation.
