In the 14th year of the festive celebration organised by MRC, invited families were treated to a delectable lunch spread of local food at Holiday Villa Hotel which also featured a ‘putu mayam’ seller who literally rode his motorcycle to the 9th floor of the hotel to the ballroom where the function was held.
MRC’s Royal Patron HM the Permaisuri of Johor, Raja Zarith Sofiah Binti Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah graced the festivities accompanied by HH Tunku Panglima of Johor, Tunku Abdul Rahman Al-Haj Ibni Sultan Ibrahim.
Her Majesty took time to interact and give away money packets, goodie bags and groceries to the needy families and children. Various corporate organisations and individuals who gave contributions in aid of the MRC or their initiatives were given certificates of appreciation by Her Majesty.
The celebrations were kept lively with an array of traditional and dance performances.
