DoubleTree by Hilton Johor Bahru’s Trattoria-style restaurant releases an all-new menu filled with classic Italian favourites
You do not have to go all the way to a fine-dining restaurant to get a taste of authentic food. People assume that by going to eat at a hotel is similar as fine dining but on the contrary, it is less the hassle when making reservations and most importantly easy on the wallet than you thought. Tosca is one of them. DoubleTree by Hilton Johor Bahru’s trattoria-style restaurant had released an all-new menu filled with classic Italian favourites at a promotional price.
Bring your family and friends to level 13 of the hotel and be ready to be surprised by the wonderful environment at Tosca. Beautiful setting by the pool with panoramic views of the city centre, it’s such a perfect place for any special occasion, as well as having dinner with the comrades.
One of Tosca’s endearing highlights is the Cheese Room with top-notch selections from across Europe – UK (Blue Stilton, Applewood Smoked Cheddar); Italy (Gorgonzola, Provolone, Soresina Dolce, Taleggio, Grana Padano); Switzerland (Emmenthal); Spain (Queso Iberico, Machego Dop); Netherlands (Edam, Beemster); Ireland (Wicklow Cheddar); and France (Bleu Bresse, Roquefort Crouzat, Camembert, Brie, Cantal Jeune, Rondin Goat Cheese, Petit Pave D’auge, Raboliot Mi Affine, Langres Aop, Comte Aop, Le Napoleon Commingeois Brebis), and more.
The Cheese Room offers cheese connoisseurs a coveted taste of some of Europe’s best at only RM38 nett per person.
Simple and quality-sourced ingredients make up the all-new menu that feature offerings designed to reflect hearty flavours. The signature dishes in the revamped menu include appetisers like Prawn Salad, and Antipasto Misto and for pastas, try the Vongole clam-centric pasta with a delicious sauce and Scoglio Squid Ink pasta (squid ink pasta chock-full with seafood).
Pizzas are a must have at any Italion trattoria and the Calzone Bomba is a favourite (oven-baked folded pizza) and just as classic, the Quattro Formaggi; a quintessential Italian pizza with four types of cheese.
For meat lovers, a variety of dry-aged Angus cuts are available such as striploin, ribeye, short loin and op ribs. To ensure a more pronounced flavour, the meats are aged for a minimum of 21 days.
Indulge in desserts such as ‘Affogato’, a coffee-based dessert with a scoop of vanilla ice cream topping and a shot of hot espresso, or ‘Gianduja’, a decadent chocolate-hazelnut paste as an after meal delight.
