i-KeeP is an abbreviation of ‘Inisiatif Kedai Ekonomi Pengguna’ or Consumer Economic Shop Initiative where participating outlets in this programme would be offering a wide range of every day necessities at a far more economical and reasonable prices. The main goods that are made available at i-KeeP premises is the basic controlled goods like sugar, cooking oil, wheat flour and rice. i-KeeP also offers over 100 branded daily essentials by working with manufacturers and strategic partners, producing canned foods, sweetened creamer and etc.
Formerly known as Kedai Rakyat 1 Malaysia (KR1M), the initiative has now evolved from erecting a new store or outlet to working with strategic partners instead. The newly-branded effort has reached 415 outlets nationwide and Maslee Express is among the 10 of i-Keep partners that would provide targeted consumers further value in their range of products offered.
Targeting mostly the B40 and M40 consumers, the location for all 68 i-KeeP stores in Johor are recognised to be where the target group usually shops for their daily needs. “I hope more retail and supermarkets would join the i-KeeP programme in Johor, so that about 3.7million consumers may further benefit from this initiative,” said Pasir Gudang MP, Tuan Hassan Abd Karim in his officiation remarks.
