A fun filled day with running, water and
Mah Sing Group Berhad (Mah Sing) officially launched the latest development in its freehold Meridin East township, the Hazel, with a carnival celebration featuring Asia’s Biggest 5km Water Run and Music Festival, SongkRun, and a series of fun activities.
Featuring a size of 20’ x 70’ and built-up of 1,964 sf, Hazel offers the residents a spacious layout with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms which is optimised for multigenerational living.
“We are confident that Hazel would be well-received by home buyers because it offers them a superb combination of distinguished design, contemporary concept, and comfortable spacious layout at an affordable price tag,” shared Mah Sing’s Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Ho Hon Sang.
Inspired by the renowned Songkran annual water festival in Thailand, the highlight activity of the launching carnival, SongkRun presented five thematic zones along the route with different effects, namely “Storm”, “Lightning”, Heat”, “Fog”, and “Rain”.
The run was flagged off by Mah Sing’s Chief Operating Officer, Benjamin Ong, Velocity Event Management’s Director, Ivan Looi, and the management team of Mah Sing.
The uniquely designed activity wrapped up in high spirits with all the participants having an unforgettable running journey featuring entertaining water activities and sensational music. In addition to the extraordinary running experience, participants also got to enjoy the performances from famous DJ duo, the Leng Sisters, as well as a memorable classical and pop violin show by talented violin artiste, Jessica Loo.
It was a sight to behold as everyone was having an amazing time dancing to the music and getting wet at the same time bringing out the inner child in them. Even the local firefighters chipped in the fun by spraying the crowd with their water cannons.
“We are happy to see the huge crowd at the Hazel launch carnival. Our SongkRun was a big hit since it was announced and we will continue to reinvent the way we interact with the public and shall come up with more attractive activities in future to enhance the lives of the residents living around our township to ensure that there’re constant interactions within the community,” said Datuk Ho. – by Moazan Emran
