The first [email protected] in Malaysia launched at Medini

EY, one of Malaysia’s largest professional services’ organisations, opened its new Johor office in Medini City, the Central Business District of Iskandar Puteri on 13th November 2018. The opening was officiated by Jimmy Puah, Chairman, International Trade, Investment and Utilities Committee of Johor.

The 13,750 sqf premise located at Medini 9, Bandar Medini Iskandar, features the global [email protected] design workspace and is the first of its kind in Malaysia. The Ernst & Young (EY) office in Johor joins over 130 other EY member offices across the world that has implemented [email protected], which provides a variety of energising and efficient spaces for activity-based work.

Ong Chee Wai, Malaysia Assurance Managing Partner, Ernst & Young, said, “We are committed to growing our business and presence in Johor, and the move to Medini, Iskandar Puteri is a testament to this commitment.”

“Iskandar Puteri is a strategic location to conduct business, given its advanced infrastructure, the availability of skilled talent and strong government support, all of which are pivotal to the long-term growth of our business in Johor and Malaysia,” continued Ong.

Jimmy Puah in his speech also mentioned that the traditional way of cubical office setting is now out-dated, and he totally agrees that open space working environment will hopefully increase productivity.

“When we have open space, people can mingle, brainstorm and exchange ideas. Better working environment will ensure personal fulfilment and hopefully they will not go to the ‘the other side,’” said Puah. – by Nurfarahin Zahiridin
