Spearheaded by the hotel’s Director of Public Relations and Marketing Communications, M.S. Bobby, Amari Johor Bahru (Amari JB) contributed clothes, toys and snacks for the 27 homeless and physically abused children at the Fitrah Qaseh home.
The CSR committee also gave cash donation and celebrated the birthdays of the children born in August and September. They cut a lovely cake in the shape of Red, the Angry Bird.
Thanks to the sponsors, Maslee Sdn Bhd and McDonald’s located in Larkin, the children had a great time enjoying the sumptuous food. The hotel also brought along sandwiches, muffins and kuih-muih.
Maslee generously contributed groceries such as rice, flour, eggs, sugar and other household items.
“This is the first time we paid a visit to the home. We greatly appreciate the concerted efforts of all the staff in collecting cash, clothes and toys for the children. We hope to come more often to help the home. Camelia Fitri and her husband manage the home and we would like to reach out to the public to come forward to help these children who need tender loving care and the home also requires daily sundries and household items,” said Bobby.
“We support and value the communities in which we live and work by bringing our social responsibility commitment to live by organising several activities for the less fortunate,” added Bobby.
