This is the country’s second footgolf course with the first one in Bukit Jelutong Golf Centre in Shah Alam.

Invited guests including members of the media were also given the chance to experience 9 holes of footgolf at the golf course during the official launch.

“We are very excited to have launched the first footgolf course in the southern part of Peninsular Malaysia. The beauty of this sport is that anyone can take part and have a great time,” said Sunny Soo, General Manager of Pulai Springs Resort during his speech at the official launch.

Jason Winter, Managing Director of FootGolf Malaysia is delivering his speech during the launch ceremony

Footgolf is a sport that has been growing over the past decade around the world. Following the rule of golf, players must take turn to kick a size-5 football into a 21-inch hole on the course. Player who completes the game with the fewest kick is the winner.

Jason Winter, Managing Director of FootGolf Malaysia was delighted with the great initiative and fun alternative for all to get active. “You can’t lose the ball, you don’t need expensive equipment and no lessons required,” said Winter.

The official launch ended with a prize giving ceremony to the invited guests. Michelle Lew from Iskandar Regional Development Authority won for the women category while Azhar Hamzah, a teacher from SMK Taman Mutiara Rini championed the male category.

Who needs a club when you can use your leg?!

Footgolf is often played on golf courses, though it may also be played on specially built grass footgolf courses. The first shot has to be played from the tee box and always bear in mind that trees, bunkers, water and hills must be avoided in order to reach the hole.

Pulai Springs Resort is currently offering the public to enjoy the new game at a very affordable price at just RM20 per person on weekdays and RM30 per person on weekend; you can play for one round of 9 holes footgolf. If you wish to burn more calories, you might want to try 18 holes at only RM30 per person on weekdays and RM45 per person on weekend.

All you need to do is to bring your own size 5 football or you may rent one at RM5 with refundable deposit of RM20 nett. For bookings, kindly call +6075554909 or for general enquiries, call +60123170117.
