SugarBun franchisee, Goldfire Sdn Bhd, expands their business with the opening of three outlets in Johor and coming soon at Stellar Walk @ Permas Jaya
BROASTED by SugarBun is the latest outlet opened at Spring Labs @ Eco Palladium. Combining natural and sustainable timber work, broasted is set inside a wood-cabin which gives it a cool and classy feeling while enjoying hot “broasted” chicken. At the same time SugarBun @ Spring Labs too offers unique alfresco dining experience both day and night.
SugarBun is a brand that hails from East Malaysia. It has been established since 1979 from its humble ice-cream parlour beginnings and now, SugarBun offers more dishes ranging from its signature Laksa Sarawak, to its deliciously popular Broasted Chicken.
Starting with their first outlet – Borneo Asian Food (BAF) by SugarBun – in Bandar Seri Alam (BSA), SugarBun Johor franchisee, Goldfire Sdn Bhd has expanded its business to two more locations in Johor; Bandar Penawar and Spring Labs @ Eco Palladium.
Its hero product is Broasted Chicken; famous for being juicier, more tender, and less oily – unlike the typical fried chicken. Other products offered at broasted by SugarBun include Chicken Sandwich, Fish Burger, Fish and Chips, Mashed Potatoes, French Fries and Sabah Seaweed Pickles.
The range of SugarBun Borneo Asian Cuisine products include Authentic Sarawak Laksa, Claypot Chicken Mushroom, Eco Assam Fish, 3 Layer Coffee and Tea with Sarawak Gula Apong. The latest edition to the menu is Sambal Eco-Fish.
The BSA outlet was officially opened in January this year and business has been picking up as there is a big community of East Malaysians in the area. Local Johoreans are embracing the brand and its flavourful foods as well.
“Our primary business is timber. We have erected several timber structure buildings in Malaysia. One of our projectS is the Galeri Glulam in Tampoi. When we were certain to venture into the F&B franchise business, we have not left our love for wood fade away.
Wood is an organic material. We have many timber ideas in our SugarBun outlets and our latest design is a custom-made wood cabin to showcase our experience in woodworking through our F&B business,” said Eddie Ling, SugarBun Johor Franchisee and Managing Director of Woodsfield Group of Companies.
“We are open to take orders from anyone who is interested in a cabin-concept timber structure for personal or commercial use,” he added.
