Commuters between Medini Iskandar Puteri and Tuas Link Mrt Station, Singapore are set to benefit from 1st December 2018

Causeway Link will officially launch CW7 cross-border route between Malaysia and Singapore on the 1st of December 2018.
The new route will be running between Medini, Iskandar Puteri with a drop-off and pick-up points at Mall of Medini (MOM) and Tuas Link MRT Station, Singapore at an interval of 10-15 minutes. CW7 bus service travelling time will take approximately half an hour to one and a half hours between MOM and Tuas Link MRT, Singapore depending on traffic condition.

Car owners can enjoy a special parking fee of RM28 per month at MOM. This monthly pass can be applied through the information counter inside the Mall. With this monthly pass, car owners can save up RM152 per month on their parking expenses on a monthly basis based on Mondays to Fridays parking (RM180 per month) at the area.

Lim Chern Fang, Deputy Executive Director of Handal Indah Group of Companies (HIGC) said: “With the introduction of this new service, commuters taking CW3 / CW4 / CW4S Jurong East and CW6 Boon Lay bus services can expect more comfortable rides as some passengers may opt for the new service. This service will benefit commuters who are working in the Tuas Industrial area who if not, have to currently make alternative daily transportation arrangements from either Boon Lay or Jurong East. In addition, the travelling time of this bus service will be cut down by 20-30 minutes during the morning and evening peak periods for commuters that need to transfer via MRT to the city.”

CW7 Cross Border Bus Service

With the connectivity of CW7 from Johor Bahru, Malaysia to Singapore, commuters can use the MRT Link (green line) to travel to Central Business District (CBD) of Singapore with the MRT Circle Line, which include the City Hall, Raffles City, Downtown, Tanjong Pagar, Botanic Gardens, Bishan, Marina Bay, Orchard City, Buona Vista, Chinatown, Dhoby Ghaut, Serangoon, Changi Airport and others.

For commuters coming from Tuas Link MRT in Singapore, they can be connected to go to the various places of interests in Johor Bahru such as LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort, Mall of Medini, Sanrio Hello Kitty Town and Thomas Town, Johor Premium Outlets, Senai International Airport and other shopping centres like Giant Nusa Bestari, AEON Bukit Indah and Sutera Mall.

Previously, some commuters walked into the Tuas Checkpoint posing a safety and security threat as Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) Singapore prohibits commuters to walk along the Second Link CIQ Causeway. “With this new connecting point at Tuas Link, we can avoid this from happening as there is now a close and convenient point to travel to Tuas Checkpoint” added Lim.

ManjaLink card is a smart card with travel credits (TCr) as a means of payment on Causeway Link cross-border buses. This is ideal for daily and frequent Causeway Link commuters between Johor Bahru and Singapore.
ManjaLink card is a very good option for daily commuters as a means of payment. It helps card holders to save up to 12% on their bus fares. For this route, commuters from Tuas Link MRT Station, Singapore to Mall of Medini will enjoy SGD 0.50 discount whenever they use their ManjaLink Card to pay their bus fares. For one year traveling with an estimation of 251 working days (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and Singapore Public Holidays), ManjaLink card holders can save up to RM376.50 (based on the conversion rate of SGD1 to RM3).
Topping up ManjaLink card is available in ManjaLink website, Causeway Link Counters in Malaysia and Singapore, and to LUGO app.
Other means of topping up ManjaLink card is through retailers such as Pointshops at Larkin Bus Terminal, CIQ 2nd Link, or BSI Mart at CIQ 1st Link. Commuters can also top-up their cards at Taman Daya Caltex Petrol Stations in Johor Bahru.
