In view of the overwhelming response from teachers, students, professionals and international participants at the 9th Johor English Language Conference held earlier this year, the organisers hope to plan a bigger event come 2019.
More than 440 participants took part in the conference held at M Suites Hotel.
The conference in 2019 will once again be organised by the Johor English Language Teaching Association (JELTA) with the co-operation of the Johor Education Department and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Language Academy.
JELTA President Vincent D’Silva said the committee was targeting top academicians, local corporate figures, retired university lecturers, celebrities with excellent English Language communication skills and top notch book writers for its keynote address, special address and plenary addresses for its 10th Johor English Language Conference 2019.
D’Silva pointed out that JELTA has also taken initial steps to work with the American Embassy as well as other embassies so that teachers have the opportunity to engage with ideas and practices from the advanced countries. The Minister of Education will also be invited.
